Spectrum 14!
I'm extremely happy to say it looks as though I was accepted into Spectrum 14! At least that's what I gather from the list posted on their website. I have to say, this is one of the biggest honors I could receive. I've loved sci-fi and fantasy art since I was a kid and I've been picking up Spectrum since the first publication. To have my work shown along side some of my heroes is both exhilarating and humbling. I don't know yet what was accepted but I'll post an update here once I have the news!

"The jury for Spectrum 14 was sequestered in a meeting room at the Hyatt Regency in Kansas City over the weekend of February 23 tirelessly going through thousands of entries. The quality of art goes up every year and the number of international participants continues to increase: the judges’ job gets progressively harder! This year’s panel consisted of Mark Chiarello/chair (artist/editor & art director DC Comics), Marc Gabbana (illustrator/concept artist), Dan dos Santos (artist), Dawn Murin (art director D&D/WotC), Ragnar (artist), and Adam Rex (artist). A list of the creatives with work selected for inclusion in Spectrum 14 can be found by clicking HERE... Congratulations to all the artists selected for the book and our thanks to everyone that participated. Spectrum 14, published by Underwood Books, will be available in stores in November."

Half Dead
The Half Dead trade paperback is coming out through Marvel next week. A while back Jimmy Bott asked me to do a piece for the book and gave me free reign. There's a part of the book where these big beefy solider vampires get hit with sunlight but they take it with a militant discipline. Almost like an honerable death of a Samurai. Here's my take on that instance where they burn up. No shrieking, no throwing their arms up over their face, they just take it like a man... er, vampire.

Devi :: Cover
I finished up a Devi cover for Virgin recently. I believe it's ok to post it because it was up on this Newsarama article, just a tad bit bluer. A big thanks to Ron Marz and all the folks over at Virgin for asking me to do it. It's always fun to be able to play with that many textures in a piece.

O.C.T. #4 Random Panels
The O.C.T. # 4 is done. It's been a long road getting here so it's a relief to see it to completion. There will be another mini series out before too terribly long, but for now I'm enjoying a little free time like normal people. Here's a batch of random panels from the last issue. Hope you like.
